Application for Testimonial / Transcript of Academic Record

    (Applicable to Professional Doctorate Degree/Taught Postgraduate Degree/Diploma/Certificates Programmes)

    1. Application for testimonial / official transcript shall be made online, and a fee is required.
    2. The application fee must be paid via Visa / MasterCard / UnionPay Card e-payment system.
    3. The application will be processed only when ALL supporting documents (including a copy of your HKID card (in JPG / JPEG / PNG / PDF format) for verification purpose and the required payment are received via the on-line system. NO REFUND will be given under any circumstances.
    4. Please be reminded that uploading irrelevant supporting documents or submitting inaccurate information will lead to prolonged processing time.
    5. Should there be any request for changes after the issuance of the testimonial / official transcript, a new application with appropriate payment will be required.
    6. Applicant will receive an acknowledgement email upon successful application and on-line payment. If you do not receive an acknowledgement email, please check with the Academic Registry (Taught Postgraduate Studies Section) (https://ar.hkbu.edu.hk/about-ar/contact-us) before resubmitting your application. To avoid any issues with undelivered email regarding your testimonial / transcript application, please ensure the email address you provide is valid.
    7. To avoid postal errors, please ensure that the address(es) of the recipient(s) is / are accurate. The Academic Registry bears no responsibility for any loss or damages to the testimonial / official transcript during postal delivery.
    8. If you choose to receive the testimonial / official transcript by post or courier service, it will be folded, placed in a sealed and stamped envelope, and mailed to the address you specified. Courier service can be arranged upon request for an addition fee per delivery.
    9. Before submitting your application, please check on the Hongkong Post website to confirm whether the testimonial / official transcript can be sent to the recipient by airmail (including registered mail): https://www.hongkongpost.hk/en/about_us/whats_new/index.html.
      If airmail services to the destination are suspended, please consider opting for a courier service (additional fees apply) or deferring your application. Applications will be put on hold if the postal service is unavailable, and items will be dispatched once airmail services are resumed.
    10. If you are applying for multiple documents to be sent to the same address and recipient by post, please note that the default option is to seal all documents into a single envelope and mailed them to the address you specified. If you would like each document to be placed in an individual envelope, please specify this request in the remarks.
    11. Testimonial / official transcript can be collected from the GS Smart Locker. You can choose the delivery method “Collect at GS Locker”. Please make sure you have read the collection procedure of the Smart Locker here before choosing this delivery method.
    12. If you choose to collect the testimonial / official transcript at the counter of the Academic Registry (Taught Postgraduate Studies Section), please select the delivery method “Collect at GS Counter”. Please check the counter service hours here before visiting the counter. Please also note that the document(s) at the counter will be kept for only 6 months after the issue date and will be disposed of thereafter.
    13. If you wish to authorize a representative to collect your testimonial / official transcript on your behalf, the representative must present his/her own HKID card/passport, a completed authorization letter bearing your signature in paper format and a physical copy of your HKID card for verification purpose.
